Often times, the bride and groom have a reserved place during their reception at which to eat their dinner and dessert with a little bit of peace and privacy. There are a number of ways to address the table, especially if mixed families are involved; or if there are a large number of bridesmaids and groomsmen or none at all. It’s important, either way, for the newlyweds to have a moment to be sure they have eaten and can rest their feet before continuing on with an exciting event with their guests. Read on for more tips and ideas!
The simplest of all options is to do a sweetheart table. This is just for you and your new spouse and can be placed anywhere in the reception area you please. Choose a space that feels most comfortable to you. Generally sweetheart tables are placed at the forefront of the room, facing the guest tables so the bride and groom can see their friends and family while they enjoy their meal. Alternatively, a sweetheart table can be placed in a private room but near the reception, so that the newlyweds can have a chance to spend a moment with each other and eat in peace and quiet before making their grand entrance at the reception.
