Show Stopper Toppers

Topping off your wedding cake offers many more choices than in the days of old. No longer does the traditional bride and groom statue need to perch perilously atop your tiers—in fact cake toppers aren’t a requirement at all for many of our sweet desserts at Cake Affairs & Culinary Creations. But if you’re pondering what to place at the crown of your cake, here are some interesting and unique ideas for spring weddings.

Bows: Like a perfectly wrapped present, a bow-topped cake is a charming sight to behold. Top off your dessert with elegant criss-crossed layers of hand shaped fondant formed into a flawless bow. Even Martha Stewart would be jealous.

Hearts: A true sign of romance, hearts atop a cake signify love and new beginnings. What more would you want to convey on your wedding day? Incorporate a lovely pair of intertwined hearts in silver or gold on the top of your big day cake for an extra dose of passion.

Monograms: These are as beautiful as they are classy with a simple and elegant touch. The monograms come in large and small sizes, in silver colors, with just a few crystals or bling all the way around. Make a contemporary statement with a single gorgeous letter for your last name, or add additional letters for each of your first names. Either way, it’s a wonderful way to signify your new title and marriage.

Flowers: Real flowers are a luscious addition to iced tiers and are easily color-coordinated to match the design or your wedding’s color theme. However, fondant flowers are just as quality an option. Our cake making-experts know how to craft beautiful edible petals as delicate as the real thing!
