The venue has been a choice for dinners by both the Queen and the late Queen Mother on occasions past, and the Goring’s pastry chef even created the christening cake for Prince Charles in 1948. Both Princes have been said to frequent the location for a drink or a meal. News sources say that it’s alleged that the Prince and Kate have booked the five-star hotel for the reception as well as its 71 rooms and suites for out-of-town guests.
