I'm a Rhinestone Bride!
We recently came across an awesome mention at Diamond Party Confetti. One MOB (mother of the bride) refers to this new trend in cake decor as "bling on a string". Cake Affairs and Culinary Creations has been decorating with bling for years, so its nice to see these fabulous jewels being recognized as haute instead of NOT!

Thanks Cakes & Culinary Creations!
Dear Cake Affairs & Culinary Creations (aka Amber),
Thank you so much for all of your help and hard work. Thank you for sitting down with me and patiently helping me plan out the perfect wedding cake. It turned out FABULOUS! EVERYONE raved about almond and amaretto cake; and it was so moist and delicious and fresh! I can’t say enough good things; it was even good when my husband shoved it up my nose at our reception!
My advice to all prospective brides: You will find NO BETTER DEAL or BETTER SERVICE than at Cake Affairs & Culinary Creations. My cake was beautiful and perfect. After one consultation with Amber, I crossed “cake” off my list and ceased to worry!
Many Thanks,
Rachel & Robbie R.

Origins of the Cake Topper
The origin of the cake topper is not definite. WeddingsOfToday.com claims that the cake topper has been a Western wedding tradition for so long "that most of the details of when it originated are still shrouded in mystery." One story about the possible origins of cake topper tradition tells of a baker's daughter who asked her father to make a symbol of love that would be visible to the guests at her wedding celebration. According to the legend, her father made two figurines that "stood in the center of the cake and at the center of the wedding."
Whatever its origin, the cake topper appears to have been popular in the West by the 1890s, when it was used mainly in elaborate wedding celebrations. It wasn't until the 1920s that cake toppers became common. In 1927, Sears and Roebuck featured a page of cake toppers in the department store's mail-order catalog.

Hi Amber,
I wanted to say that the cakes were a super hit at the wedding ceremony lunch! I didn't get a chance to see them live, but saw some photos and they looked quite beautiful! My husband really loved the Michigan cake and especially that it was chocolate too! I actually had 3 slices..hehehehe
The fresh fruit was a hit and several people commented on how good it was!
Thanks again for your contribution to our happy day!
